SULPHUR SPRINGS, TEXAS, MARCH 21, 2006 – American Legend Aircraft Company announced today plans to base its FloatCub at the world famous Jack Brown’s Seaplane Base during the 2006 Sun ‘n Fun Annual Fly-in. The FloatCub is an all-new Legend Cub 2-place aircraft equipped with Baumann floats.
From April 4–10, 2006, the Legend FloatCub will be available for viewing and demonstration at Jack Brown’s Seaplane Base (F57), located on Winter Haven Airport (KGIF) on the adjacent Lake Jesse. Call for information on demonstration flights.
On April 7, 2006, the Legend FloatCub will be participating in the Sun ‘n Fun Splash-In. This event takes place on Lake Parker in Lakeland, Florida. The Lake Parker Recreation area is six nautical miles northeast of Lakeland Linder Field (KLAL), home of Sun ‘n Fun. Show participants are encouraged to stop by for an up-close look at the Legend FloatCub.
The Legend Cub is a two-place, single-engine piston-powered aircraft designed to meet Light-Sport Aircraft certification requirements. It has an empty weight of 870 lbs. The Legend Cub is propelled by a 100-horsepower Continental O–200 engine with electric start. Equipped with optional floats, the aircraft is capable of water takeoffs and landings. The Legend Cub is bringing back the enjoyment and economics of general aviation aircraft to today’s flying enthusiasts.
